About Us & What We're Looking For
- Are you looking for a school where the students come first and the staff are valued?
- Do you want to be part of dedicated and a committed team who are passionate about changing lives?
- Can you make a real difference to the life chances and opportunities of disadvantaged students and those who will now face further challenges as a result of the disruption to their education following partial school closure?
As part of our Recovery Curriculum and Catch-Up strategy, we are seeking to appoint a well qualified and suitably experienced individual who can deliver small group tuition and support for Numeracy and Literacy (including reading, writing, oracy and language for learning) to identified students in Year 7 and Year 8.
Welcome to Wodensborough
We are a rapidly improving school and are now full and over-subscribed in Year 7. We invest in our staff and value their work and their contribution to raising standards. We are proud to serve our local community and we are proud to be part of the Ormiston Academies Trust, a family of schools who are all committed to being the trust that makes the biggest difference.
We are looking for a person with a passion for working with young people and who can support us in achieving our aim of supporting the most disadvantaged students to make accelerated progress in numeracy and literacy following the negative impact of partial school closures. Ideally, our Recovery Curriculum Tutor will be from a primary school background and will have a clear understanding of how children learn best. In addition, they will believe that every child has the potential to succeed regardless of background or starting point, and will thrive on a challenge.
The offer of appointment will be subject to pre-employment clearances and there will be the need for the successful applicant to have an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
